I love Internet Marketing, although I cannot say it was always that way. When I first started up, I made my first bit of money on Ebay selling some medical books to students. It was one of those lucky finds you have when you're at a garage sale. I made about $400 selling these books and that made me question whether I could quit my day job and sell stuff on Ebay. So I sold everything around the house that I didn't need anymore...I then had nothing to sell.

I started to regularly go to garage sales, but I just wasn't making enough and it was a pain in the ass going to the boot sales. I then wondered, "What else cold I sell?" It was this thought that turned everything around for me and I'm glad I had it!

I started to think about my skills and what interested me and it was then that I discovered my first niche, it was in the self-help/ self-improvement market. I learned how to program and made interactive self-improvement software and audio. It's been a consistent money making niche ever since, but it still didn't make me as much money as I wanted. I then started to write information products for the self-help niche, things had started to change, I wasnow making more money, but it still wasn't quite enough. I spent thousands of dollars trying to learn the secrets of marketing and making money online, but I still wasn't where I wanted to be.

I read a lot of stuff on Steve Pavlina's blog and bought the four hour work week, by Tomothy Ferris, it was now starting to come together and everything was starting to fall into place.

The secret of making money online lies in being able to create multiple sources of income, to be able to effectively research a market and discover the sections where there is a need. These needs are emotional and practical, people want to feel good, not feel pain, be loved, be wealthy, how to fix and build stuff etc and if you can fulfill any of these needs then you are going to make a good living.

My secret lies in creating information products quickly and automating everything that I can. I use the computer as a tool and I've learned to be organized. Knowing where you are going and what you have to do to get there is essential. Whenever I create a new product, that product is created to get me something and it usually works like magic.

My desire this week was to get enough money to go to Amsterdam for a few days, it took me 24 hours to raise enough money to pay for that goal. The Internet is the medium which allows me to live life by my rules and I love it. I'll put some of my strategies on this blog and hope that you benefit from them.

I also encourage you to sign up for my newsletter as you'll get some great free software, tips and tools :)
